Symposium Edward Hopper
Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza
2012
The graphic identity of the international symposium Edward Hopper, Film and Modern Life that was part of the Hopper exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Madrid.
The development of all communications elements relevant to the symposium and the film cycle (programs, posters, notebooks and identifiers) is articulated by means of a play on four shapes and colors corresponding to the shapes and colors of the projections of light in some of Edward Hopper’s paintings.
Shapes/reflections of light reposing upon a dark background represent the influences exchanged between Hopper and motion pictures, in a reciprocal game of mirror images.
